The move went very well yesterday and all horses very quickly settled into their stables. Sienna was first home in her box and chatting to all around her before falling asleep.
Next came the box with the girls and foals. Cruella loaded first and baby Chinook was excellent - he stood all the way home and had a few feeds too.
Breeze and Sonata were last onto the same lorry as Cru and Chinook. We think Sonata slept the whole way home as she could not be seen on the CCTV at all and Breeze did not move an inch.
They all unloaded safely, both mares very calm and constantly talking to their babies on the short walk to the stables. With great relief to myself, all were happily munching on their hay and feeds in no time and fell asleep after a very long and tiring day for them.
Photos to follow and hopefully if the weather is nice enough today they can go out into the small temporary paddock that has been made so that they can get their bearings before opening up the field. Sienna has her own paddock next door to allow her some freedom and space to find her feet. PHEW!
Chinook is growing into such a stunning lad, he has been removed from open sale

DJ Stud is on the move!! We have loved our base at the beautiful Quainton Stud but the time has come for our expanding band to move to new premises in Dorset.
All mares and foals will be moving down in one convoy on Saturday. It is a nervewracking time travelling young babies, but I am hoping that all goes well and they settle very quickly into their new home. Many photos to follow!
New photos are uploaded of the growing babies on their pages.
Sienna has been suffering from a hoof abscess but is now on the mend and well enough to travel.
Left to Right:
Chinook (what's in the bag?), Cruella (not happy at someone coming in off shot), Dawn a friend of ours with polos, carrots and other assorted goodies, Breeze (doesn't care if there is a polo in it for her) and Sonata attempting to be coy. (4 July 09)
